RECENT UPDATE ON DENGUE

  1. Project Premonition is a research project by Microsoft designed to automatically do things which earlier Entomologists had to do manually
  2. The prototype will identify the type of mosquito which the Entomologists need to track andeliminate flies, moths and other type of mosquitoes which do not cause/spread the virus/disease
  3. Along with the correct trap of mosquitoes the prototype also provides information of temperature, wind and humidity etc
  4. Project Premonition is designed to spot an outbreak like Zika, Dengue before it becomes a public health issue and patients line up in clinics, hospitals
  5. The goal is to have an early warning system in place and hence stop people from getting the disease by mitigating the spread at an early stage.
