To the parents of Preemies
It’s indeed difficult for parents to handle these preterm babies. Even after going home, a premature baby may need additional medical attention to the associated range of health issues like learning disabilities, mental impairment, speech delay etc. Parents must prepare themselves for the additional financial burden including physiotherapy, speech or mental therapy etc. They also find it difficult to share their struggle, for this many support groups are there. Parents may find and join these support groups online and on social media. They may find other parents struggling with similar issues. In this way, they can increase each other’s strength.
To defeat the preterm birth, raising awareness about the premature babies& preterm birth complications is the first step. For this noble cause,World Prematurity Day is celebrated.
