Psychedelics are those class of drugs which on a regular intake or timely intake results in altered cognition and perception and causes a heightened state of consciousness! The common examples of Psychedelics are LSD, Psilocin, Magic Mushrooms and so on!!

Psychedelic use was believed to increase the risk of mental health problems. A new study was conducted including 19000 people who had used Psychedelics and remaining population being non-users!

The study did not establish any relationship between the usage of these drugs and mental health problems. In fact it even showed fewer mental health problems, however, there were a few side effects also noted in one group of the population! However, the researchers could not establish the exact mechanism on how it affected and lowered the risk in few and in fact harmed a few!!!

However, there are higher chances that people would get addicted to these drugs and hence the user is neither supported by researchers or by doctors!!
