World Cancer Day is celebrated on 4th of February every year to commemorate the fight against cancer and to educate and spread awareness on precautions, guidelines and the right steps to prevent cancer.
Statistics say that more than 12.7 million each year are diagnosed with cancer of which over 7 million die due to inadequate care, lack of available treatment, etc.
World Cancer Day has been established to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy diet, adequate physical activity and how to prevent environmental carcinogens.
