Yoga Poses for Healthy Kidneys



Here are 5 really effective Yoga poses for healthy kidneys-

  • Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) – Lie flat on your stomach, toes flat & forehead resting on the ground. Keeping your legs close, place your hands under the shoulders, with elbows parallel your torso. Inhale & lift your head, chest & abdomen. Pull your torso back taking support from hands.
  • Cat Pose (Marjaryasana) – Put hands and knees in the tabletop position, with your torso perpendicular to the floor. Now exhale rounding your spine towards the ceiling. Inhale coming back to the starting position.
  • Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) – Lie flat on the back, fold your knees keeping them 10 inches away from your pelvis. Keep arms beside your body, palms should face down. Inhale and lift your whole back off the floor, roll your shoulders in, touching your chest from the chin. Exhale and return to the starting position.
  • Naukasana (Boat Pose) – Lie flat on your back. Inhale & lift your chest & feet up. Stretch your arms towards your feet. Fingers, toes & eyes should be in one line. Maintain the pose and breathe deeply. Slowly exhale and return to the normal position.

Ardha Matsyendrasana (Sitting Half Spinal Twist) – Sit, stretch your legs keeping your spine erect. Bend your left leg & place the left heal besides the right hip. Now take the right leg over the left knee. Now, twist the waist shoulders & neck to right and hold the position. Take a deep breath and come back to normal position.
